Why is the workplace all-too often left out of the equation when thinking about organic and healthy living conditions?
A tricky question to answer but this does indeed occur. Try and think of a few ways and means by which an office you know inside and out promotes a clean office environment hand-in-hand with organic living.
The idea of the organic office is for sure one of the less common and familiar in the world of natural living, but this doesn't mean it is anything less than hugely important. In fact, given the fact that the majority of the Western World spends much of its waking life at work, what could be of bigger benefit than promoting the overall good by insisting on a fully organic office?
Hidden Dangers: Unbeknownst to most, there are so many dangers around the average office workplace which come down to the use of chemicals where natural alternative could have been used in their place. As such, in order to understand the ways and means by which to create a safer office, it is vital to know where these dangers are and the alternatives available, including the following:
Organic Office Cleaner: Standard office cleaner in terms of both a can of spray and a professional service will BOTH more often than not use harmful chemicals and toxins as standard. These have become the standards over recent decades to an extent where many have come to accept that the only route to a clean office environment is to use these chemicals and take their chances.
In reality however this isn't the case at all, as organic office cleaner is readily and available for next to nothing, while organic office cleaning services are also in the market of taking away the risks to their customers. Considering how many desks, surfaces, keyboards, telephones and so on are cleaned regularly, why take the risk of exposing a workforce to toxic chemicals?
Organic Supplies: Along with a generally clean office environment, it is also never a bad idea to introduce exclusive use of organic supplies across the boards, which can include DIY office cleaner, recycled paper and anything else produced by 100% safe and natural means.
Non-Toxic Materials: Recent discoveries have highlighted just how risky it can be to use certain types of vinyl, plastic and other materials on an everyday basis. As such, an addition to the organically clean office environment is the use of only 100% safe and natural materials across all stations, along with the elimination of any that may have the potential to cause harm.
Recycling: Last but not least, it is never a bad idea to get the whole workplace involved in recycling efforts, which can see the office reusing waste items, composting for use in plants or gardens and generally making efforts to reduce waste.
Along with the above, it is also essential to ensure that any professionals brought in from outside such as carpet cleaners, A/C repairers... etc. champion the use of organic products and ONLY organic products in order to promote a clean office environment and 100% safety for workers.
Summary: This article discusses the ways and means of offices considering the use of and the promoting of cleanliness while at the same time opting for 100% natural and organic cleaning products and procedures.
